A Guide to Visiting Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany




One of the best-preserved medieval towns in Bavaria (Europe). It is a perfect destination for a one day trip and a popular tourist destination on the Romantic Road of the south Germany.

It is picturesquely situated on the mountain top high above the River Tauber. Spend time taking a walk along the old town walls (rebuilt after the destruction during world war II) and crossing the Gates,..Strolling through the streets of the town - enjoying the beautiful nature, City Garden and timber frame houses in the old town, 13th century Rathaus (Town hall), Several Old Churches, and Plölein (Undoubtedly the most picturesque spot in an extremely pretty town) and Museums exploring Rothenburg's long and fascinating history, Art Gallery. The astronomical clock with mechanical figures attracts tourists every hour between 10am to 10pm.
